the gift i would like to receive

The gift I would like to receive is a Play Station 3 or 4. I would play with this console all day in my room and eat junk food. I would like this because I am envious of my boyfriend. He has one and, although I can play when I go his home, it's not for long. In addition it much better playing in the console than me, and he mocks because I lose constantly.  If I have a PlayStation I could practice and surely I would win, and now I who would laugh. I think that there is little chance of getting, because my mother believes the console is a unnecessary and consumer gift. She could give me money for a trip or study some interesting activity. Besides the Play Station is too expensive, and my mother will believe that I have fallen into the clutches of capitalism. I think that I could to convince to my father, but also my mother could convince him that my idea is not the best.  Well, actually, I also think that I have fallen into the clutches of capitalism, but the desires I have to beat my boyfriend are stronger than years of teaching on the solidarity and anti-consumerism. So I do not think I get so sad if I do not get it.

summer plans

In the summer, i would like to visit Colombia. I would go with my friend Ximena. We have planned this trip three  years ago, but first she won an exchange scholarship in the summer of 2014, then I was student exchange too in the summer of 2015. So, this summer is perfect for us to go because both are in Santiago. I have already traveled with her and we have similar interests regarding travel. I like to travel with her because she is relaxed and funny.

I would go to Colombia and meet many cities such as Medellin, Neiva and Palmira. I would like to eat many food dishes from the cities and know many places that are in the forest or on the beach. Also Ximena and I would really like the Colombian accent, so I imagine we will be very happy in those places.

But this plan is only for February (and may be part of March),  because in January I think I will stay in Santiago. I have to do my thesis and work for a teacher.  In my plans I should advance so much in my undergraduate thesis to take the exam in March or April 2016. If I don’t finish this stage of the thesis, I can not go to Colombia in February and Ximena will kill me… She really kill me. In definitive  I think that this pressure is good because then I will advance forward faster.

Favourite piece of "art"

My favorite piece of art is a painting called “Le lit, Le baiser”. This piece was painted by Henri de Toulouse-Laurec, he is a French painter who was noted for his portrayal of Parisian nightlife of the late nineteenth century. He born into a noble family and because of inbreeding had different genetic problems; he also was an alcoholic most of his adult life which hastened his death. He is part of the generation of post-impressionism. 

This piece was made in 1982. I like because this picture shows two women and they are prostitutes, in the painting they are giving a kiss. I think that this picture shows a mix of Brotherly love and sexual love. I like this because he shows a human part of prostitutes, which is usually separated from them. 

Overall I like this painter, because he painted mainly women prostitutes or workers. Mainly he paints simple acts such as sleeping or doing laundry, but I think it conveys much more than that. Toulouse-Laurec is not as well known for his paintings, he is best known for his work as an illustrator. He has many famous Moulin Rouge posters and he created a particular aesthetic in this posters.

a photograph I like

This picture is one of my favorites because they are many friends at this minute I dont see. The photo was taken in February 2015 and shows a farewell meal of scholarship students who were in Spain. This photo was taken by Cristian, who also appear in the photo and it would be a "group selfie". In the pictures there are a lot of "montaditos", it was delicius meal there and were very cheap and we were in my favorite restaurant "100 montaditos". This place was a meeting place because the mondays one motadito cost three hundred pesos and the restaurat was filled with students. 

I like this photo because it contains many of the friends I met there and they are now in their home countries, so I can not talk to them as before, but we keep in touch online, and we always make plans get together somewhere. I also remember the good times that I lived in my university exchange all the good food I ate with them. This photo represents friendship and good food so it is one of my favorite photos.

my future job

In future I would like to work in an organization that protects the rights of migrants. In this job I would like to investigate the problems that appear in the migration process, mainly due to legal reasons that limit the opportunities of people, and see the effects of the system latches in life of the people.

 I would like to work for reducing problems with immigrants because of state laws. Also, in this topic is important to investigate the social discrimination suffered by immigrants in relation to their origin, such as acts of discrimination and xenophobia.

I think that in this work will meet many interesting people, who is concerned about this issue and who knows a lot about migration, I also like to travel to work in conjunction with other centers to research on migration  and to complement the ideas about solutions possible.

I think this work is important because it is unfair that the state or system imposes laws against the people.

If I won the lottery

If I won the lottery, I would go on a long journey around the world. The places I would know are Latin America and the South Pacific Islands. So I would buy a big car or a motor home and I depart to tour the countries  of South and Central America, there I hope to spend much money on parties and food (and time).  Then I would go to a trip the South Pacific islands - not in my car now-, basically doing the same thing in Latin America. Then I would like to rest in the Tibet and I would like Madonna makes me a massage.  If I have not killed by the party or food, I would like to learn some things, for example I would learn to play guitar with my  tutor Jimmy Page and I would learn to play football with Maradona. Finally, I would get bored of having so much money and  I would give it to my mother to give me an allowance, and thus end in my fifty years old with the body very broken and my mother handing me money each month. Well done.

the super power i would like to have

I would like to have the super power of "time control", That is the time to stop, advance or go back when I decide. I would like to have this power because for me it is the best super power, you have the power to go back and have fun with the consequences of your actions without being definitive. 

I would do many things with this super power,  for example, I stop the time when I need time to sleep more or to rob a bank. I brought forward the time when it was in boring things I have to do. And finally turn back in many situations because it is the most fun and allows you to have many opportunities to do the same thing . You could also use it to help others or prevent an accident like a superhero. The super power could to have negative effects because the time control is very dangerous, but I don’t care.

Bolivia travel

The best vacation of my life were the summer of 2014, when I went to Bolivia with my friends. We went for 25 days.We were four friends, and at first we were a few days in Iquique, in the house of other friend. I traveled to many places, meeting different cities like La Paz and Potosí, and other very beautiful natural places like Titicaca Lake and Uyuni salt flat.

 Also in every place we visited, we ate many different meals which were delicious, and also got sick sometimes.Everything was very cheap to travel and saw many different places together. Then, at the end of our tour in Bolivia, we returned to our friend's house in Iquique, to rest, eat and celebrate (we were too comfortable). 

For me it was the best holiday especially for the company, my friends were all very nice and there were no differences between us. We were all very relaxed (and lazy). I'm sure it was my best holiday thanks to them, whatever had been the destination. 

Mexico!

i like to visit Mexico because the country is famous  for many types of culture, and the of this place cuisine is known for different types of food. i know the different famous archaeological places of the Mayan culture and this country has a beautiful beaches in the side of the Atlantic ocean. I would like to try many typical meals as "tacos" and "mole" souce. Also i would like visit the country's nature reserves. Besides, I would like celebrate Halloween because, in this country, this day is very important and the festivities are very cheerful . I consider that the relation of death and cheerful is very interesting (and this day there are a lot of traditional food!) .

Then, I would like study in Mexico because it has a important tradition in the study of the culture and the anthropology investigation in this place is very complete and comprehensive. I would like to study in the  National Autonomous University of Mexico because, in my opinion, is the best university to study anthropology.

Pierre Clastres

I really admire to Pierre Clatres. He is a important person in the field of antrophology and philosophy, but specifically He is best known for his contributions to the field of political anthropology. He is famous for writing about the power in the human history. He was born in France in 1934 and studied philosophy and then studied anthropology. Where he was being assistant Claude Levi Strauss

His most famous book is "Society against the State" where he tries to describe the other kind to understand the idea of “power” in societies without States. One of the most important things he has done is to change the central place the idea of "State" in studies of human political history against the idea of political evolution that prevailed in academic research. I've also contributed to study the small communities of the Amazon, where the political area was more important than economic and the people were different logical for political activity that given today. I like Clastres because he considered other ways of doing and understanding politics and war in other  communities.

Food !!

Hello, everybody! Today i will talk about the food. I never eat a fixed time since I joined at the university, but I never skip the breakfast because in my opinion is the most important meal and if I do not eat breakfast I have hungry all day. About of the things that I eat, there are things that I don’t eat when I was a child as the sweet food, in this period I don’t like the cakes and sweets, and the only sweet that I like was the chocolate, but now I like all the sweet and my favourite remains the chocolate. I cook every day for lunch, but it is very basic; I most often cook noodles with sauce and meat with purée of potatoes.  The truth is that I do not select the food for your calories and nutrients, but only for its taste. I do not usually eat junk food very often but I really like, it is a guilty pleasure! I like to eat at home more than a restaurant but on special occasions is  good eating out. As a last meal I would eat “Chorrillana” and as dessert  “chocolate croissant” with ice cream. I will die for eating too much!

post 4 - the new semester!

This is the ninth semester of my career, therefore, there is little time left to graduate. This semester started my thesis, I hope to finish it before the end of this year, but will not press me too much for it. I also do my practice in this semester, I do in the Municipalidad de Santiago, I must finish around the end of July, I'm learning a lot in it and I think at the end of the semester I know much more than when I started it. At the end of practice and when my semester is completed at university, I want to travel to south of Chile, specifically Cucao in Chiloe, to visit a friend who makes her practice in a forest of CONAF :) . I hope to finish this semester with great success!!

abortion

I think that abortion should be legal for all women in all circumstances because the woman has the right of choice of her body and she is not a machine. I believe that parental consent should not be required for abortion for women under 21, because this age the person is completely independent of them parents and in the topic of abortion specifically I think that the decision of a minor age girl –under 18- must not limited by her parents and parent’s beliefs. In this case the state must support the girl and her decision and look out for her well-being  bodily and psychological.  And finally I believe that religious precepts be taken into consideration to make laws on abortion and this situation must not be.

My fovourite piece of tecnology

My favorite piece of technology is the notebook, this is a portable computer. It is very useful and I use it almost every day. The notebook I use for recreational, educational and work purposes. It is important to say that this piece combined with internet allows you to find new information, chat with friends, 

 I like very much this object because the old old computers were not moving, whereas the notebook is very functional and can be moved to different places and always will be the information you saved, as my documents, music or movies. This way I can easily move the notebook to college, work, homes of friends or family, and best of all, I can take to my bed in the cold winter days, that is very good!

the music

To me the music in general is very important because the songs mark different moment in my life and when i listen it, i can to feel as i feel in those moments. In addition it is used to express different thing as a love, sorrow, displeasure with the some situations, add on add on.

I you ask me i like the international music more that Chilean music, but as far as i am concerned i completely agree with Chilean law that will apply in the radios because this sector must not to be regulate only by the market because on the contrary we listen only music for the masses. 

The life without music could be very boring and in this case would not have concerts or entertainment on the trip to home, or different kinds of expression or parties. It is really sad a world without parties !!

a little about me

I would like that you know me better, I born in Santiago, and grew up in Maipú. I have beautiful memories of my childhood, because in my neighbourhood were a lot of friends to play every day. I went to Santa María school in Maipú, and at the seventh grade I changed to Liceo 1 “Javiera Carrera” school at Santiago's downtown. This experience was gratifying to me because I met friends that have accompanied me until today. 

 After the school I studied Anthropology at University of Chile, although I wasn´t very convince about this career was I wanted to do the all of life,  however after I like the discipline and I happy with decision that I made. Besides I got a scholarship to travel to Valladolid, a city of Spain, for to study one semester and there I learned a lot of things and the experience was very nice. Today I am in the fifth year of my career and I would like to travel around the world.
